Gather your friends, family, and/or co-workers and join us for a full day of fun, food and excitement at beautiful Fair Hill - up close to all the thrilling action of Cross Country, the cornerstone of Eventing!
A Cross Country Tailgating Pass will allow you and your companions intimate access to see the world’s best Eventing duos take on the Fair Hill Special Event Zone’s incredible new cross-country courses, all while enjoying your favorite tailgating menu and beverages! Tailgating Passes will be inclusive of the following:

Access for one (1) vehicle to park in a designated space of your choice in one of our five tailgating areas for the duration of the day’s competition - spaces are approximately 14-16 ft across and sufficiently deep enough to easily park your car

Six (6) Saturday General Admission tickets

Access to walk alongside the competition for four picturesque miles. Stay at one obstacle for the day or see them all. It’s up to you!

Unlimited access to our curated retail vendor areas, fan activations and a wide variety of food, beverage, and merchandise offerings both on-course and in the infield by the arenas

5 Star Rope-Side Tailgating Spaces
Enjoy front row viewing of both the 5 Star (CCI5*-L) and 3 Star (CCI3*-L) Cross Country courses for the day from your reserved rope side tailgating space in one of our select 5 Star Rope Side Tailgating Areas. Options include the following: Timber A, Timber B, Timber C, Timber D, Middle Hay A, Middle Hay B, Sawmill A, Sawmill B and Sawmill C.
Timber Field A, B & C - “Start and Finish” Your Day Off Right!
Timber A, B and C areas will afford you incredible views and proximity to both the 3 Star and 5 Star divisions start boxes as well as the 5 Star finish. Catch horses in both divisions leaving the start box and jumping their very first few fences. These three tailgating areas also come with the added benefit of being the option closest to the infield arenas. Have quick access to the Cross-Country action and all of the amenities and entertainment that the infield has to offer including Equine Exhibitions in the Main Arena, Retail Vendors, the Craft Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival, and more. A quick walk and you can be from one, to the other, and back.
Timber Field D
Timber Field D offers up field views of both the 5 Star and 3 Star start boxes, as well as additional fences and combinations, including the views of the very first water complex! With the same added benefits and proximity to the Infield, Timber D is also close to the on-course concessions of Timber Field. Easy walking access to the Infield as well as the Unnamed Tributary, the gateway to Middle Hay Field and Sawmill Field’s cross-country excitement.
Middle Hay Field A & B
Tailgating spaces in Middle Hay Field boast panoramic views of this entire field. You will catch both the 5 Star and 3 Star competitors as they emerge from the Unnamed Tributary and navigate Middle Hay Field on their way out to Sawmill Field. Plus, you’ll catch the 5 Star course on their way home, the final push to the finish! Middle Hay Field is full of technical fences and combinations, making for exciting viewing action. Middle Hay Field will also boast a variety of concessions allowing you to easily supplement your tailgating spread. With easy walking access to both Timber Field and Sawmill Field, Middle Hay Field is sure to be a fantastic Tailgating destination.
Sawmill Field A & B
Sawmill Field tailgating spaces offer incredible sweeping views of our largest field and the majority of its exciting elements. You will be able to see both the 5 Star and 3 Star divisions at various points of their track. For the 3 Star horses, they will be approaching the end of their course, so you will be able to catch the true grit and determination of these horses and athletes as they make their final push to the finish. The 5 Star competitors will be navigating some of our most iconic, challenging fences and combinations in Sawmill Field that are sure to amaze you. This field will also offer concession options, and shuttles running at various intervals for convenience back to the infield arenas and amenities!

3 Star Rope-Side Tailgating Spaces
Enjoy front row viewing of the 3 Star Cross Country course for all the morning’s action from your reserved rope side tailgating space in one of our 3 Star Rope Side Tailgating Areas. Within easy walking distance of the 5 Star course and afternoon action. Options include the following: Upper Sawmill A, Upper Sawmill B and Upper Sawmill C
Upper Sawmill Field A, B & C
Upper Sawmill Field tailgating spaces offer you rope side viewing of the 3 Star track as they make their loop back towards the finish. While these spaces won’t offer direct rope-side viewing of the 5 Star course, they are located within a very short walking distance to the largest 5 Star water complex, also serving as the turnaround point for the 5 Star track. Sawmill Field is chock-full of exciting obstacles and complexes, including several exciting 5 Star course features, which will only be a short walk away from your 3 Star Rope Side tailgating space. Plus, the same delicious concession offerings and convenient shuttling services offered to Sawmill tailgating areas.

General Tailgating Spaces
Spend your Saturday tailgating in beautiful horse country this Fall. Receive a parking space right on property in a designated general tailgate area close to the Cross-Country action. Parking spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Options include the following: Drive-In Upper Sawmill D
Upper Sawmill Field D
Looking to enjoy Saturday’s incredible Cross-Country competition while tailgating? Our General Tailgating Area is the place for you! This drive-in, grass area offers more of a ‘stadium-lot’ style tailgating experience. Drive in, park and enjoy a beautiful Fall day in Cecil County’s horse country while being a few steps away from all of the Cross Country excitement of the 5 Star and 3 Star courses in Sawmill Field. You will be located within close walking distance to our largest water complex as well as several other exciting obstacles. Plus, the same delicious concession offerings and convenient shuttling services offered to 5 Star Rope Side Sawmill tailgating and 3 Star Rope Side Upper Sawmill Tailgating areas.

Tailgating Tents - Cover Up!
Tailgating tents will be available for 5 Star Rope Side and 3 Star Rope Side tailgating areas. For the safety of all athletes, horses and spectators, no personal tents will be permitted for use in Tailgating areas. Tailgating Tents are priced at only $250 per tent provided exclusively by the event tent company Select Event Group. They will be pre-set and ready for you upon arrival at your reserved space on Saturday. All you need to do is show up and enjoy the fun!

Catered Tailgating Picnic Packages - Let us cater to you!
Don’t feel like cooking or packing up the car? Catered Tailgating Picnic Packages will be available for purchase with your Tailgating Space. All curated and delicious Tailgate catering options will be provided exclusively by The Classic Tailgating People and delivered to you on Saturday, making for a truly turn-key day of fun! More details and how to order will be provided soon after your purchase of a tailgating space.

Move-In/Move-Out Schedule & Policies:

Move-In: Tailgating vehicles will be permitted to move in Saturday morning prior to the start of the cross-country competition from 7:00AM – 8:15AM. All tailgating vehicles must be parked and settled in their allotted space(s)/area by 8:30AM, no exceptions.

Mid-Day: A BRIEF mid-day move-in/move-out window will be offered from 11:00AM – 11:30AM while the competition transitions from the 3 Star course to the 5 Star course. All tailgating vehicles must be parked and settled in allotted space(s)/area by 11:45AM, no exceptions.

This Move-In/Move-Out window will be STRICTLY enforced due to its short nature based on the 5 Star competition’s hard start time of 12:00PM

Move-Out: No tailgating vehicle(s) will be permitted to do any major break-down of their Tailgate set-up or leave their designated space(s)/areas in their vehicle until competition has concluded. For the safety of spectators on-foot, Tailgaters are asked to wait an additional 30 minutes following the end of competition before exiting the Tailgating field in their vehicle.

All vehicles must remain parked for the duration of competition between all Move-In/Move-Out windows, with no exceptions unless for medical reasons as determined and at the discretion of Event Organizers and Health & Safety Officials
