The Maryland 5 Star will be showcasing the world’s very best horses and riders as we inaugurate the newly constructed Fair Hill Special Event Zone (FHSEZ) - a public private partnership committed to preserving Fair Hill’s historic legacy and sustaining its future as the Mid-Atlantic’s world-class equestrian center. Attendees will have an opportunity to see first-hand the completion of Phase I of the project which includes a stunning new turf course, cross-country course, infield competition arenas and beautiful ponds. These improvements not only created a home for the Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill (eventing) but also ensures top-class steeplechase, turf racing, training and more continues at Fair Hill for years to come.
At the Maryland 5 Star, fans will have the rare opportunity to witness thrilling equestrian action as world-class competitors compete in the prestigious CCI5*-L - the highest level of Eventing competition designated by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), the international governing body for equestrian sport as well as the CCI3*-L Fall Eventing Championships and USEA Young Event Horse East Coast Championships.
In addition to these exhilarating equestrian competitions, The Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill is sure to feature a wide variety of fan offerings, attractions, unique experiences and good old-fashioned family fun. Attendees can expect to see traditional and popular offerings such as dog agility/competitions, equestrian demonstrations, kids corner, a horse industry vendor village and more. But stay tuned as we are working on a slew of exciting new elements involving showcasing Maryland Pride, pavilion style food and beverage offerings, expanded shopping/event merchandise areas, increased sponsor activation and fan engagement, elevated hospitality/special events, and so much more to accommodate what we expect will be incredible crowds drawing regionally, nationally and Internationally.
