Jake’s Story
Jake has years of experience planning, designing and building major events around the world, but it all started on a farm in Maryland. He grew up training horses, competed at the Presidents Cup at Fair Hill and hunted with Goshen Hounds. Following a career building complex temporary structures, Jake started OPS to better serve his clients in overlay planning, site design and the procurement of temporary structures. Throughout this time he has had the opportunity to work on some of the top equestrian events. Now he is excited to bring his skillset and values to the Maryland 5 Star as the Director of Operations, to help create an unmatched experience for the top tier riders, sponsors, partners, and fans from around the globe.
Some of his favorite projects to work on have been the 2010 World Equestrian Games, 2017 & 2020 & 2023 FEI World Cup and the 2015 Breeders’ Cup at Kenneland.
