Marissa’s Story
Marissa Melzer is an equine enthusiast who has parlayed that passion into a career in events and promotion. She has over 15 years of experience riding and working with horses across several disciplines. Marissa was a member of pony club, president of her university’s USEA Collegiate eventing team, and spent two years working for Coolmore America’s thoroughbred breeding division in Lexington, KY. Marissa most recently worked for the Maryland Horse Industry Board, helping to plan and execute Horseland at the Maryland State Fair. She also worked for the Maryland Horse Breeders Association as the auction recruiter and coordinator for their annual Jim McKay Maryland Million Gala and Auction event.
As a lover of eventing, Marissa is thrilled to be part of this organization and looks forward to bringing a 5 star experience to her home state.
In her free time, Marissa enjoys spending time with friends and family, getting outside to ride or hike, doing yoga and traveling anywhere and everywhere.
